School Parliament
CARMEL CONVENT HIGH SCHOOL, K.M. believes in developing leadership qualities, responsibility, and teamwork among students through its School Parliament. The School Parliament provides students with opportunities to participate in school administration, organize activities, maintain discipline, and represent the student community.
Student leaders are selected based on their leadership qualities, academic performance, discipline, communication skills, and willingness to serve the school. Various leaders and club coordinators work together under the guidance of teachers to organize cultural programmes, sports activities, environmental initiatives, social awareness campaigns, and other school events. Through the School Parliament, students learn leadership, teamwork, decision-making, responsibility, and service, preparing them to become confident and responsible citizens.
Responsibilities
- Represent the interests, ideas and concerns of students.
- Assist in maintaining discipline and promoting good behaviour among students.
- Support the smooth conduct of school assemblies, events and activities.
- Encourage active participation in academic, cultural, sports and co-curricular programmes.
- Promote leadership, responsibility, teamwork and self-confidence among students.
- Act as a bridge between students, teachers and the school management.
- Encourage students to follow school rules and uphold the values of the institution.
- Organise and support awareness programmes, celebrations and special school events.
- Promote cleanliness, environmental awareness and responsible use of school facilities.
- Serve as role models by demonstrating discipline, respect, honesty and good conduct.
